Our aim is to make our educational offering available to worthy students irrespective of their economic situation. In order to do so we depend on the generosity of our donors.
Each year we receive applications from students who simply cannot afford the full fees. These students understand that without financial support they would not be able to attend our schools.
Every family applying for financial assistance is required to open up their personal financial situation to be fully assessed by our finance department. This assessment will allow us to understand how much financial assistance is required, however this is only one part of the process. All students, and parents also need to be interviewed by the school to understand their commitment to the school and finally an entrance exam must be sat to ensure students can access the educational offering.
Ultimately the recommendation for funding must be supported by the relevant Headteacher and the School.
In order to support our bursary students we look to raise the funds to cover the portion of fees that cannot be afforded by their families. We do this in a number of different ways:
Individual Sponsorship Programme:
Some of our students are sponsored through their education by a single donor, or group of donors, who commit to paying the fees for a stage of their education ie Year 7 through to GCSE's or for the 6th form programme which is only 2 years.
Where a student is directly sponsored a relationship between donor and student is often put in place. The student will write to their sponsor twice a year to update them with their progress and let them know how their experience at the school is progressing. An annual mass is also offered for all our donors.
To sponsor a student fully in one of our Secondary Schools the cost is £17,000 per annum. However if you are a UK tax payer a donation of £12,000 attracts giftaid of £3,000 which we can claim. In addition to this higher tax rate earners can claim this £12,000 donation as tax deductible and therefore further reduce the cost to them of the donation.
Donations to Bursary Fund:
Others are not able to commit to regular donation and so will choose to make one-off donations which we will use to support students who need a lower level of support, we will manage this fund annually.
Donations can be made directly to:
Barclays Bank
PACT Educational Trust Ltd

Please contact us at finance@pactschools.org.uk if you would like to make a donation.
We do ask that all donors who are UK tax payers complete the attached gift aid form and return to us at finance@pactschools.org.uk so we can claim an additional 25% from HMRC. We are also happy to provide a report of donations given so higher tax earners can include this as tax-deductible donations in their annual tax returns.
PACT (Parents, Children and Teachers in Partnership) was established in 1993 as a personal initiative of parents and educators to operate schools that assist parents in their task as the primary educators of their children. PACT schools provide an independent education with a Catholic ethos for boys and girls aged 3-18.
